#Novembarmparty Challenge
30 days of unique "arm parties"
Day 23 Today's arm party is made of two very fun costume bracelets of seafoam rhinestones. They're so spunky you can't help but smile when you wear them. The water lilies picture in the background was one of the first pieces of art I got when I first moved to Kentucky. (It should be obvious it's just a reproduction and not the real thing...don't want any misunderstandings to lead to international jail time!!) |
Day 22 Today's arm party is a bracelet made of brown leather with a pewter sea turtle charm. Sea turtles are my favorite. Also my favorite are friends who create wonderful things to share. For example, my friend Teresa made the gorgeous flower arrangement (behind my hand) and included skeins of yarn! |
Day 10 -- November 10 Today's arm party is a collection of pink bracelets. The top bracelet is made of tiny Swarovski crystals in a gorgeous shade of pink. The next one is made of simple soft pink balls. The third one is made from multi-colored millefiori beads. The bottom one is made of paper beads created by my friend Kim. |
Day 9 -- November 9 Today's arm party is one of my favorite bracelets. I have long loved wrap bracelets, but was scared to death to attempt making one. When I finally chucked the fear and gave it a go, I realized they were easier than I thought. This was my first and my favorite one I've made. In the background is a picture my friend Ann Widner from Little Visions made for me. |
Day 7 -- November 7 Today's arm party is a reminder to myself that I'm brave and can do this. The top bracelet I bought last year as I was working through the challenge of being brave. It was not an easy year by any means, but I survived and came out stronger. The bottom bracelet I found in a vintage shop with my friend Gina Young. |
Day 5 -- November 5 Today's arm party is a combination of three simple braided bracelets. Not pictured is the cute little "p" charm each one has on the back. I've always been in search of a bracelet (or necklace or ring) that I could put on and wear until they fell apart. These bracelets are about as close as I've come to finding "the one." |
Day 4 -- November 4 Today's arm party is in honor of the two women who have most influenced my love of jewelry: my mom and my grandma Winchester. I keep this picture of my grandma on my desk because it shows her spunk and joyful personality--two of the things I loved most about her. The words on the top bracelet are from a letter she wrote me before she died. The bottom bracelet my mom and I found in an antique shop and I love it's simple elegance. |
Day 2 -- November 2
Today's arm party is courtesy of my best friendship with my "bestie" Lacey. Yes, I'm 35, and no, I don't care that these are junior high-ish. I love them and they are a good reminder that there's someone in my corner rooting for me.
Day 1 -- November 1
Today's arm party is my wooden Jesus and the Saints bracelet, orange ninja turtles bracelet, and one made of simple crystals.
