I signed up for the Earring Swap Blog Hop hosted by Jessica Murray of Whimsical Monkey Artisan Jewelry several weeks ago. We were paired up and tasked with making a pair of earrings to swap with our partner. My partner was the lovely and talented Mimi Gardner of Other Curiosities. I love the concept of this swap--to make something fun to share with our partner. And since I LOVE earrings, I was hooked from the get go! Mimi was a delight to work with and I hope we are able to work together again in the future :)

Both of you did a fantastic job. I've been thinking about using hardware store components in my designs.

Love your washer jewelry :) These earrings turned out great! I think, since you're the obvious queen of toolbox jewelry, you should take over my Toolbox Jewelry Challenge... otherwise you'll just win them all ;) lol

Love your hardware earrings! The spiky washers are locking washers :) I may have to make a trip to the local hardware store soon...

Interesting how you both made earrings with a flower motif. In fact I'd say that each pair matches the other. Isn't this swap stuff fun?

Both earring pairs are very cool. I participated in a hardware store blog hop a while back and didn't think of anything as nice.

Your earrings are so very cool! My husband is a carpenter, so the hardware store is one of my favorite places. I love your earrings! How ingenious!!!

Paula. Those flowers are not only very clever but really cute too! I have all those pcs (washers/gears) and my mind never went there! So cool!
